Fun Days
Fun Days are held the second weekend in June. Events include a community theatre production, Fun Run, Parade, children's activites at the park, garden tractor pull, horseshoe and bean bag tournaments, talent show, food stand and much more. It is a time for class reunions, family reunions and visiting with friends. Many events are traditional favorites and new events are always welcome. Mark your calendar!
Halloween
The city and other local businesses put on Trick-or-Treat Up-and-Down Main Street from after school until 5 p.m. Residential Trick-or-Treat is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wilson Memorial Library has a Halloween party from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. These events are held on a date set by the council; this year they are set for October 31st.
Hometown Holidays
This annual event features food, song and festivities throughout the community. Stores and Main Street are decorated for the season and the Eaglerock Cookie Walk starts the day early on Saturday morning. Carolers work the street and the craft show is at St. Mary's Hall. Santa visits the children at the Senior Citizen Center while they enjoy a movie. The Parade of Homes Tour from 4:00 - 8:00pm. The day concludes with the speech soup super at Lagos Acres County Club.
Community Fund Raisers
Keota has a rich tradition of support for its many non-profit groups. These groups raise money through a variety of events. Some of them include the following:
- Firemen's Breakfast and Golf Tournament
- Keota Unlimited Raffle
- Keota Education Golf Tournament
- VFW Bingo and Sweet Corn Feed
- St. Mary's Harvest Dinner
- Lagos Acres Breakfast
- After Prom Breakfast
- UCF Chicken & Biscuit Supper
