City Utilities
Water
City water is available to all residences within the city limits. A service contract is required. Bills are issued on the first day of the month and are payable at the City Clerk's Office by the 15th day of each month. Penalties of 10% are added to each delinquent bill. For each water meter in service at a residence a $200 deposit is required.
Garbage
Garbage pickup is provided for the city by Cox Sanitation, North English. Pickup is on Monday for the City of Keota.
All trash must be in purchased garbage bags available at City Hall, County Line Mart and Keota Eagle Foods. Recyled items should be placed in
bins on a curbside cart and include cardboard, plastic and metal. Recyling guidelines.
Yard waste such as branches and brush shall be tied in 4 foot bundles or smaller with a maximum weight of 40 pounds per
bundle. Large items, such as furniture require purchase of a tag to be picked up. The cost varies according to the size. Tags
may be purchased at City Hall.
Billing for garbage pickup is also issued on the first day of the
month and payable at the City Clerk's Office by the 15th day of each month.

New Residents
New residents of Keota will be asked to fill out a contact information form.
To obtain a recycling cart, used for garbage pickup, Cox Sanitation and Recycling requires users to sign an equipment acceptance form, available at the City Clerk's Office.
Keota Cemetery
The city of Keota has a public cemetery. Mowing and maintanence are provided. Lots may be purchased at the City Hall. The cost is $50.00 for the lot and $150.00 for perpetual care.
